
Amfidromo Chorotheatro (A.C.) was created in 1998, by the choreographer Elena Christodoulidou. It is focusing to the development of the art of dance and the involvement of dance with the social issues. That’s why, during the years A.C. has collaborated with a lot of cultural, educational and social institutions.

A lot of dance pieces have been presented by A.C. all around Europe, the last international participation was in the competition No Ballet (Ludwigshafen, Germany) at November 2013 with the piece “Bushes”. Three years before, in 2010, A.C. was selected by the Cypriot government to create a dance piece for the 50th anniversary of Cypriot Democracy. In 2012, A.C. was again selected to create a dance piece that will start the opening exhibitions for the Cypriot presidency to the European Union.
In 2013 and 2014 A.C. presented the pieces Mind game and Conspiracy. Both of them were about social and educational inclusion and were presented to a lot of schools around Cyprus. In October 2015, A.C. was part of OPEN BORDERS project (by the International Videodance Festival de Bourgogne) creating a film with the co-operation of 29 artists from all over Europe about the refugees issue.
A.C has collaborated with the biggest Cypriot organizations which represent people with intellectual and physical disabilities being part in some of the most important social and educational inclusion programs. In 2011, A.C. edited the organisation of the two days conference on “Modern methods of rehabilitation and integration” in cooperation with the Cyprus Association for people with cerebral palsy. In 2013 in cooperation with the movement of people with disabilities (Greece) and the Cypriot organisation for the blinds, A.C. organized a five-day screening of selected documentaries from around the world, that was focusing on alternative ways of educational integration.
In 2015, A.C. organized a round of 4 seminars (6 hours each) in collaboration with the Department of Education, University of Cyprus, whose theme was the familiarization of undergraduate and graduate students with innovative forms and methods of integration of students with intellectual nad physical disabilities.The permanent basis of A.C. since October 2013 is Egomio Cultural Centre, a multiplex 900 sq.m. in the area of Nicosia.
